What is LUNUR?
Clothing, released by the moon.
LUNUR Collective is a Chicago apparel label that releases exactly one design per full moon — twelve a year. Each edition is embroidered, individually numbered, and sold for twenty-four hours. When the window closes, the design is retired. Permanently.
No seasons, no restocks, no archive sales. The moon sets the calendar; when it's full, we release. Everything else is waiting.
How a drop works
Every drop is an edition of 200 pieces. The window opens at 5:00 PM Central on the day of the full moon and closes at 5:00 PM the next day — or the moment the 200th piece is claimed, whichever comes first. The waitlist shops the first hour: at 5:00 PM the purchase link goes out by email, and public access opens at 6:00 PM only if pieces remain.
Numbers are claimed in order. Piece 001 goes to whoever checks out first; piece 200 closes the edition. After that there is no second run, no leftover stock, no quiet reprint a year later. A retired moon stays retired.
Drawn from the real sky
Each design starts with the night itself. We take the full moon as a circle, and inside it we plot the constellation of that moon's zodiac sign — every star at its true catalogued position and brightness, as it stands in the sky over Chicago. Twelve true stars from that month's sky ring the moon, and MMXXVI is stitched beneath. One thread, one color: silver.
Drop 01 is the Hunter's Moon, and its constellation is Scorpius — the scorpion, low and bright in the October south. Drop 02, the Beaver Moon, carries the Sagittarius teapot. Every month gets the sky it actually owns; nothing is decorative, and nothing is repeated.
The garment
The design is embroidered — never printed — on a heavyweight cross-grain crewneck: 13.5 oz / 450 GSM three-end fleece, Classic Navy. The moon sits on the chest at five and a half inches, stitched in a single silver thread. It is built to be the heaviest, cleanest sweatshirt you own, and to outlast the story attached to it.
Your number, at the back of the neck
Every piece carries its edition number — 001 through 200 — stitched inside a small silver circle at the back of the neck, where only the wearer knows it sits. The number is assigned in the order pieces are claimed and belongs to that garment permanently.
That's the whole point of an edition. Two hundred exist. Yours is one of them, and it says so.
The calendar
Twelve moons, twelve designs, every year. Drop 01 — the Hunter's Moon — opens Sunday, October 25. Drop 02 — the Beaver Moon — follows on November 24. Then the Cold Moon, and every full moon after it, each with its own constellation, each capped at 200, each gone for good when its window closes.
The only way in early is the waitlist. One email per moon. No noise, ever.
